The First Look

Wedding Tip Wednesday:

The First Look:

A new trend in Weddings and Wedding Photography is the First Look. Traditionally Brides and Grooms would not see eachother prior to the Wedding Ceremony… it was considered bad luck.  Grooms first sight of the Bride would be when she walked down the aisle.  In Modern Weddings, many traditions have been bent with Brides and Grooms altering the traditions to better fit their personalilties while keeping the specialness of the traditions, the First Look is a new twist on an old tradition.

A First Look is a special moment that is captured when prior to the ceremony a Bride and Groom are revealed to eachother in their Wedding Attire, the Bride in her Wedding Gown and the Grown in his tux or suit.  This romantic and sweet moment is caught on film to be part of the Wedding Memories.  The butterflies in their stomachs are evident.

Another added bonus to the first look is the chance to take all the Wedding Party photos prior to ceremony. This allows the Bride and Groom, family and Wedding Party time to spend enjoying the Wedding Reception rather than taking too much time taking photos.

When Bride and Groom Kristen and Ryan celebrated their Wedding Ceremony and Wedding Reception at Historic Kent Manor Inn, they decided to do a First Look Session.  The photos tell the story. Photography Courtesy of Emily Chastain Photography

Here Comes the Bride

Here Comes The Bride:
When Brent proposed to our Bride-to-Be Jena, he surprised her with this lovely ring from Smyth Jewelers on their 18-month anniversary with the help of her friends while visiting Charlestown, SC.

Jena and Brent are planning a Waterfront Wedding at Historic Kent Manor Inn in September. They chose Historic Kent Manor Inn as their Wedding Venue to tie in with their love of the Eastern Shore, Historic Inns and Architecture. We will be following them on Historic Kent Manor Inn’s Facebook page.
